There are some weddings that strike me for their elegance and sophistication, two elements that characterise not only the bride and groom but the whole group around them. Daniela and Jorge, a couple of Mexican architects living in the United States, wanted their wedding party to take place in an architecturally splendid place from the very beginning. For them, I sifted through villas in I don't know how many regions all over Italy, starting from Lake Como, passing through Tuscan, Umbrian and Roman villas, then down to the Amalfi Coast and finally to the magnificent Masseria Grieco in Puglia.
A magnificent three days spent together: a welcome dinner in Apulian style, the wedding celebrated under a centuries-old oak tree, and finally a boat trip to Polignano a mare, aboard two catamarans... an experience that will remain forever in the memories of all the guests.
Daniela and Jorge's wedding was a splendid celebration taken care of in every little detail by the entire Rotondo Catering staff and decorated by the skilful hands of Rollo Flowers' florists. The civil ceremony was officiated in front of the Masseria, on the lawn under this imposing oak tree, while aperitifs were served in the ‘piazzetta’ while the Musicarancio live band entertained all the guests. Dinner in the courtyard, set on imperial tables and under a starry sky, was simply perfect. Green and white were the protagonists, with simple but elegant arrangements. The DJ set kept everyone dancing until closing time, which came too early anyway... we would have danced the night away.
