After Lake Como I thought there were no other places that would take my breath away... but thanks to BenniCarol photography I discovered the Cinque Terre, which jumps into my top 3. I think some places are better suited to elopement than others and this one fits right in. While cities or the countryside with their villas and palaces are perfect for intimate weddings or weddings with many people, this masterpiece of Nature is perfect for the intimacy of the couple ready to explore and fall in love with a unique place.
Liz and Chris, an Australian couple who love to travel, chose the Cinque Terre to exchange their vows of love... the first look was at 6.00am in Riomaggiore, to be alone without a single tourist! We then got married in Vernazza and Manarola and ended up having breakfast around 10.30am. After a break during which they went to eat in Monterosso, while Carol and I went to the seaside in Riomaggiore, we met up again in La Spezia ready to take the boat where we would perform their symbolic ceremony... with the setting sun darkening the sea as it went to die behind Portovenere. A day full of everything, filled with emotions that still flood our hearts and eyes.
